All voice and document files are delivered in a secure network environment utilizing encryption on a secure Volunteer Transcription “virtual private network”. Only our personnel have the password and software to open these files. Most importantly, they are secure and HIPAA compliant. Volunteer Transcription  will ensure compliance with the Standards for Privacy of Individually Identifiable Health Information as promulgated pursuant to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act  of 1996.
